Why EPS contracts are cancelled?

HRD Korea cancels EPS contracts due to the following:

When the hiring company has:

  •  financial difficulties

  •  industrial trainees

  •  illegal workers

  •  domestic workers

  • already reached its quota of foreign employees

  •  rejected employing foreign workers

 When the worker has:

  •   been deported from Korea within 1 year as industrial trainee

  •  been deported from Korea for using illegal
    documents

  • record of illegal stay

  •  record of running away from a previous employer

  •  record of criminal case

  •  not yet stayed out of Korea for at least one year from departure

What are the actions taken by HRD Korea when a contract is cancelled?

 ·         When the cause of the cancellation of the contract is the employer, the worker is recommended to another company.

 ·         When the cancellation was caused by any previous illegal act by the worker, the worker’s name is removed from the EPS roster.

What should a worker do if  his certificate of confirmation of visa (CCVI) has arrived from Korea but his medical cerificate has expired?

 ·         Upon notification by POEA the the CCVI has arrived and the worker included in the next batch to b e deployed, the worker has to submit to another medical examination to get a valid medical certificate. Under the policy, no worker shall be deployed without a valid medical certificate

·         If the result of the medical examination is “fit to work”, the worker can request the clinic to release the medical certificate directly to her/him and submit the same to the Government Placement Branch. The clinic will not release the medical certificate directly to the worker with “unfit” findings.
